Responsibilities

  • Primary owner of the intercompany accounting and process (e.g., intercompany account billings, account reconciliations, roll forwards, journal entries and reporting)
  • Responsible for the ongoing development of the Company’s intercompany related processes, improvements and policies
  • Review and ensure accuracy of various intercompany cross charges and allocation and, evaluate and identify areas of potential exposure and internal control weaknesses, and initiate improvements in these areas
  • Ensure all intercompany processes and procedures are fully compliant with US GAAP and transfer pricing principles
  • Resolve invoicing issues and ensure outstanding intercompany receivables and payables are settled in accordance with the intercompany policies
  • Collaborate, liaise and assist other accounting team members during the month-end close process such as, but not limited to, closing, posting and review of other general ledger accounts and ad hoc tasks, as assigned
  • Support future ERP/system implementation
  • Support and assist in any other ad hoc projects

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Degree in accounting
  • CPA preferred. Big 4 experience a plus
  • Excellent understanding of GAAP accounting principles, specifically relating to intercompany transaction and transfer pricing principles
  • 3 or more years of intercompany/ general accounting or audit related experience
  • Biotech experience a plus
  • Outstanding organization and detail-oriented skills
  • Strong analytical and effective business communication skills
  • Results-oriented team player who leads by example and takes full ownership of work
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • NetSuite or other similar ERP systems experience (will transition to best-in-class ERP system in the near future)
