Who You Are

This successful candidate will report to the VP of Global Medical Affairs with a dotted line to the Head of EMEA, Commercial and partner with Medical Affairs and the BridgeBio leadership/corporate team stakeholders. You will create and execute strategic medical plans to support the company’s main development asset, acoramidis (AG10), in the planned indications, including amyloid-related heart (ATTR-CM) and nervous system (ATTR-PN) disorders.


  • Build out and lead a high performing medical affairs team to support commercial launches of new products into the marketplace
  • Lead, manage and develop a best-in-class, high-performance medical affairs/Medical Science Liaison team
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate analytical reports related to Medical Affairs plans and Medical Science Liaison group activities.
  • Develop and implement Medical Communication and Disease State Awareness strategies
  • Partner with KOLs to gather information on current focused, therapeutic area issues and questions
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Development and Commercial teams to develop educational material for providers and patients that is medically accurate and appropriate
  • Possess an understanding of government and industry guidelines, regulations, laws, etc., for appropriate scientific/medical exchange and communication with customers.
  • Provide direction and input into the development and implementation of successful reimbursement and market access strategies
  • Work closely with the CMO and senior management team members to develop the overall strategic direction for BridgeBio; evaluate alternative approaches, identify competitive issues, capitalize on core strengths, and develop and implement operating plans to achieve objectives for profitable growth
  • Foster collaborative relationships with academic and clinical experts, publishers, medical and patient associations, and other relevant external and internal stakeholders
  • Develops and manages departmental budgets that effectively achieve desired goals that are balanced with the financial objectives of the broader commercial organization

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • An MD or Ph.D. degree is required
  • 10+ years of experience within Biotech/Pharma in Medical Affairs roles of increasing responsibilities, ideally in rare disease and/or cardiovascular therapeutic areas
  • Pre-and post-product launch experience in key European markets
  • A minimum of five years of management experience
  • Ability to recruit, manage and develop a new cross-functional team
  • Ability to lead by example, attract and develop talent, build interdependent partnerships, and create a collaboration and teamwork culture that fosters open communication, constructive conflict resolution, and organizational flexibility
  • Able to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to develop internal relationships in a high matrix environment, as well as external relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and industry experts
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels and present complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity
  • Ability to prioritize concurrent projects with tight deadlines and operate in a highly compliance-driven environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels within the company
  • The flexibility of approach and a positive attitude
  • A global mindset and foreign languages are considered vital assets
  • Travel (25-50%) may be required to represent the company at medical conferences, presentations, and other meetings
