Who You Are

We are looking for an Associate Director, IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services as part of the Infrastructure Engineering and Support team. This role will report directly to the Director, IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services. This role will plan, architect, develop, organize, and work with teams to implement the next generation of server, storage, and cloud solutions to support the expansive growth of data and systems within BridgeBio. To ensure system reliability and uptime, the individual will provide thoughtful leadership around capacity planning, backup and recovery, high availability, business continuity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure operations. The primary success for this position will be measured by how effective IT is at rolling out a reliable, high-performance hybrid server and storage infrastructure environment, enabling rapid access to compute power (whether in the office or remote), and how security measures are applied to secure our assets while minimizing intrusiveness to the staff.


  • Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and works to ensure infrastructure investments are correctly prioritized, scoped, delivered, and managed in support of business requirements
  • Recommend innovative technology solutions based on industry best practices (e.g., roadmaps, cloud migration, and cloud expansion services) and proven success in implementing multiple large-scale transformational initiatives
  • Working within IT, lead the technical delivery of solutions approved within the IT portfolio around infrastructure investments (Servers, Systems Software, Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Backup Services, and related security)
  • Lead the charge to identify partner vendors and successfully roll out services in support of BridgeBio’s Server, Storage, and Cloud Infrastructure
  • Build and enforce governance controls around IT Infrastructure, cloud platforms, and key systems
  • Make recommendations, develop and maintain IT Infrastructure Technology strategy and roadmap (Server, Storage, Cloud)
  • Build out and manages requisite operations and support functions related to infrastructure monitoring, management, and cloud services security
  • Partner with the Validation/QA organization to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Computer System Validation
  • Evolve the 3-year IT Roadmap, and system inventory, aligning them with the budget process
  • Prepare system configuration and deployment cost estimates, budgets, and schedules
  • Prepare and present project proposals to management and business partners
  • Facilitate the evaluation/recommendation of new technologies or capabilities that can be applied across the business
  • Conduct ongoing research into industry and technology trends; evaluate, summarize, and present key trends with the potential to impact IT capabilities
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
  • Evaluate and champion the adoption of GenAI platforms and solutions

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of work experience, including at least five years in a managerial/leadership role
  • Broad IT Infrastructure management experience, with particular emphasis in the Life Sciences industry, required
  • Experience managing infrastructure and solutions supporting a remote workforce within the Life Sciences industry required
  • Experience with the implementation, integration, management, and support of hybrid environments where both SaaS solutions and cloud-based infrastructure are incorporated is required
  • Experience with Windows and Linux-based on-premises infrastructure is required; experience with cloud-based infrastructure (Microsoft Azure & Amazon AWS) is strongly desired
  • Experience with infrastructure and identity-related services: Okta, AWS, Azure, and Backups
  • Understanding of SOX and GxP controls, and experience in an FDA-regulated environment is required
  • Experience with the use of SDLC methodologies in project delivery required
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines
  • Ability to work directly with business partners and end-users to generate consensus around technical directions
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and evaluate solutions
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into business terms
  • Contributes to setting the overall IT department agenda and operating practices

Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
