Who You Are:

This position will provide professional project management support for one of BridgeBio’s preclinical-stage programs. This position will report to the Vice President of BD & Operations and will actively partner with team members to ensure efficient project planning, prioritization, and execution of strategic program goals and objectives.
 
This as-yet-unannounced program is developing treatments for a rare disease that causes extreme sensitivity to sunlight. Patients with this disease experience excruciating internal burns after even a few minutes in the sun and spend their lives almost entirely inside. Our first-in-class disease-modifying treatment is in preclinical development and moving quickly - we are aiming for the first dose in humans in a little over a year. 
 
We are hopeful that this therapy could allow patients to live an entirely normal life. This role will be critical for helping us achieve this objective.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Affiliate Team Leader (BD &Operations) to create high-functioning core project teams; identify opportunities to improve teamwork, team member accountability, and communication
  • Prepare and manage the execution of high-quality, cross-functional project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment of interdependent activities by communicating the detailed project plans and timelines with specific emphasis on critical path activities
  • Support and facilitate efficient project team meeting(s), including scheduling, setting agendas, documenting and distributing meeting minutes which include key decisions and actions; ensure actions are completed and outcomes are communicated
  • Anticipate project constraints and potential risks develop, and ensure ongoing monitoring of assigned program’s risk management plans
  • Support the Affiliate Team Leader (BD & Operations) to ensure consistent communication of project performance to Senior Management. Prepares and coordinates project presentations and periodic updates (dashboards) for internal meetings
  • Support inter-departmental and team communication fosters collaboration; may facilitate resolution of issues between functional areas
  • Ensure key program documents are organized and accessible to team members
  • Seek opportunities to harmonize Project Management processes and best practices across BBIO Affiliates and programs; is enthusiastic about improving communication within Affiliates and across BBIO
  • Partner with BBIO Finance to prepare annual Affiliate budgets and updated forecasts

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a scientific discipline, is desirable but not required
  • Five years of drug development project management experience in the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry; rare disease trial management experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage a matrixed project team and coordinate cross-functional aspects of drug development (e.g., preclinical, CMC, regulatory, clinical, quality, commercial, etc.) to achieve development milestones
  • Established ability to create a comprehensive project plan and prioritize the execution of complex tasks within a team environment
  • Ability to influence teams to meet or exceed project deadlines consistently
  • Experience in leading and managing team meetings; proven ability to create opportunities for meeting efficiency
  • Demonstrated team management and team-building skills; enthusiastic about creating a thriving environment for teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation
  • Effective communicator who can develop strong relationships to facilitate project operations outside the context of formal meetings; able to effectively communicate with supervisor, co-workers, and external partners on a daily basis, in-person, by phone, and email
  • Proactive problem solver with detailed organizational skills
  • Has expert skills with the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; ability to create effective presentations for internal and external use
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
